Globe Telecom and PalmOne recently introduced the Treo 650 smartphone, hailed as "Product of the Year" during the Mobility Award 2005, to the Australian market.

Combining a fully featured quad-band mobile phone with a wide range of productivity applications including e-mail, organizer, and Web access, the Treo 650 is positioned as the ideal handheld communications solution for the mobile professional.

"The Treo 650 smartphone provides Globe customers with increased mobility and a way to simplify their business and personal lives with an all-in-one device," said Paul Blinkhorn, PalmOne vice-president for Asia Pacific. "Whether it's reviewing e-mail, viewing a presentation, or simply making a conference call, the Treo 650 smartphone lets busy people manage the critical components of their lives while out of the office."

The Treo 650 comes free under the Globe Platinum Plan 5000. It may be availed for P10,000 under G-Max Plan 3500, P18,000 under G-Match Plan 2500, P24,000 under G-Talk Plus Plan 1800, P28,000 under G-Talk Plan 1200, and P32,000 under G-Mix Plan 800.

Feature-packed, the Treo 650 lets users view, edit, and create Microsoft Word- and Excel-compatible documents or access PowerPoint presentations on the go.

In addition, Bluetooth wireless technology allows the Treo 650 to connect wirelessly to other compatible Bluetooth devices such as printers and headsets.

Multimedia capabilities include a built-in MP3 player and a digital camera that can capture still images and video that can be viewed on the color screen, all in a device that is still small enough to fit in one's pocket.
