Yesterday I was experimenting with using a Blogger Blog with my own domain name, and this worked fine. I called the domain www.lykkelimp3.com with the intention of focusing it around the phrase 'lykke li mp3'. My main intention was to sell MP3s of Lykke Li's music, so I went to Amazon Partners to look at setting up some affiliate links. However they have a new MP3 Widget which is wicked, I just picked out the lykke li mp3 tracks that I wanted to sell and constructed a widget that is totally compatible with Blogger. So how wicked is this? For the price of a domain name (about $10 from GoDaddy) – I have a very useful blog to use as a platform to sell Lykke Li mp3 files.

Blogger is actually well cool as you can also 'burn your RSS feed' to make a Feedburner RSS Feed for this particular blog. The advantages of this are numerous, but the important thing to remember is that last year Google bought Feedburner.

Dance Dance Dance

Little Bit

Time Flies

Everybody but me

So there you go, the next time somebody asks you to make them a website, just tell them to go make a Blogger Blog!

For more information about Lykke Li, have a look at the blog: Lykke Li MP3

I have just decided to try and market some music by the Swedish singer Lykke Li, so I bought a domain name www.lykkelimp3.com with the intention of just forwarding it to an Amazon Lykke Li MP3 download offer. But then it occoured to me that I had bought a domain name with GoDaddy, so I could set up a Blogger blog and then use that as my 'authority site'. Here's how:

I have just decided to try and market some music by the Swedish singer Lykke Li, so I bought a domain name www.lykkelimp3.com with the intention of just forwarding it to an Amazon Lykke Li MP3 download offer. But then it occoured to me that I had bought a domain name with GoDaddy, so I could set up a Blogger blog and then use that as my 'authority site'. Here's how:

Buy a domain name using GoDaddy (they are about 10 bucks a year)

Log in to your account at www.godaddy.com.

Open the Domains tab and select My Domain Names. You'll be directed to the Domain Manager page.

Click the domain that you'd like to use with your blog.

Click the Total DNS Control And MX Records link at the bottom of the section entitled Total DNS.

Click Add New CNAME Record in the box labelled CNAMES (aliases). If you've already created a CNAME record for your blog's address, click the pencil icon next to the existing CNAME record.

For the Name, enter only the subdomain of the address you want to use for your blog. For example, if you picked
www.mydomain.com
as your address, enter
www
here.

Enter
ghs.google.com
as the Host Name. Specify a TTL or use the default setting of 1 hour.

Click OK, and then click OK again.

I've just done this with Lykke Li MP3 so I'll let you know what happens
