I think the craze for publishing Kindle books first came about around 2010 / 2011. I was well aware of how Internet marketers were getting their old PLR articles and turning them into Kindle books. These books kind of made sense but were really of no value at all to the end user, all of the PLR content had been used already somewhere on the Internet and often many many times over. As a consequence these Kindle book marketers initially made a load of money, but it wasn’t to last. I saw many a marketer go from making one dollar a day to $10 a day and even $100 a day and then out of the blue Amazon close down their Kindle account or rather their Kindle publishing account. I wasn’t one of these marketers as I could never see the value in PLR content on the Internet so I assumed that it would not be valuable as Kindle content, I probably missed out on some money by not doing this but at least I still have a healthy Kindle publishing account.
The first book that I made was called ‘Six Zero Winners’ which was a novel written by my friend Fergus Rainbow. We sold a few copies but not many. A bit later I asked Andrew Hughes from Motorholme if I could publish a short book that he had written called ‘Motorhoming is more fun when it’s free’which is a short guide on how to choose a motorhome for renting out and then go on to building your own motorhome hire company. This Kindle book has sold steadily for the past two years.
I have learnt a lot of things about Kindle books, Kindle publishing and Kindle marketing too. If you have written a book and would like to get it published in the Kindle format please get in touch and I can help you.
