Direct Line’s leading website www.directline.com offers a fast efficient quote and buy process and by introducing your users to Direct Line you will be able to offer a new and valued service to them, enhanced by the trusted brand of Direct Line.
Direct Line is offering affiliates the following commissions from time to time:
- Direct Line Car Insurance - £29 per successful policy
- Direct Line Home Insurance - £45.50 per successful policy
- Direct Line Pet Insurance - £39 per successful policy
- Direct Line Home Rescue Insurance - £40 per successful policy
- Direct Line Loans - £15 per submitted application
From February 1st 2004 until further notice, Direct Line will be operating a tiered commission structure based on the number of successful insurance policies generated on a monthly basis. Successful affiliates will be moved to the next commission segment from the beginning of the following month provided they have generated sufficient insurance policies to qualify for the higher commission segment. Please note that Direct Line loan applications do not count towards the monthly totals.
The tiered commission structure is as follows:
GENERAL SEGMENT (0 - 25 sales per month):
Direct Line Car Insurance - £17.50
Direct Line Home Insurance - £27.50
Direct Line Pet Insurance - £17.50
Direct Line Home Rescue Insurance - £30.00
Direct Line Loans - £15
SILVER (25 - 75 sales per month):
Direct Line Car Insurance - £22.50
Direct Line Home Insurance - £35.00
Direct Line Pet Insurance - £25.00
Direct Line Home Rescue Insurance - £40.00
Direct Line Loans - £15.00
PREMIUM PARTNERS (75+ sales per month):
Direct Line Car Insurance - £29.00
Direct Line Home Insurance - £45.50
Direct Line Pet Insurance - £39.00
Direct Line Home Rescue Insurance - £65.50

Please ensure that you do not bid for Direct Line’s brand related keywords on search engines such as Overture, Espotting, BT Looksmart, Google, or other Paid For Listings provider. This applies also to the use of any other intellectual property rights by our affiliates.
The Affiliate must not use any text, content, banners or promotional material other than that which has been approved by Direct Line. Failure to comply with this constitutes a breach of the Affiliate Agreement and contravenes the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and the Rules made pursuant to this Act.
Important - Direct Line Email Marketing Policy If you wish to include Direct Line offers in any outbound emails to your customer base, please ensure you forward the email to our TradeDoubler account manager (Email: Claire.Hughes@TradeDoubler.com) for approval prior to broadcast. Please note that Direct Line affiliates are not permitted to send any solus emails promoting Direct Line's products or services.
Direct Line Loans If you feature Direct Line Loans in any copy on your website, wherever "typical APR 6.4% fixed" is stated it must always be the most prominent words in the overall copy, ie: either bold, larger font size and/or underlining.
We would like to make all affiliates aware that any insurance policy sale generated by a visitor who clicks through from a Direct Line loans link will not be tracked. This is due to a technical implementation issue which Direct Line is currently unable to resolve. If you wish to promote Direct Line Car Insurance, Home Insurance, Pet Insurance or Home Response 24 Insurance, please ensure you use a Direct Line insurance text link or banner from the relevant graphical element category so that all sales of these products will be tracked.
*Intellectual property means: all Direct Line Group’s intellectual property rights world-wide, including (without limitation) copyright, names, logos, trademarks (registered and unregistered), service marks, database rights and design and moral rights in any sign mark, logo and all application for the same anywhere in the world.
Any use of our intellectual property either by bidding for our trademarked keywords or any other use of our intellectual property without our express permission will be considered a breach of Direct Line’s intellectual property rights and may lead tie the affiliate being removed form the Direct Line scheme and further action taken.
