I have just decided to try and market some music by the Swedish singer Lykke Li, so I bought a domain name www.lykkelimp3.com with the intention of just forwarding it to an Amazon Lykke Li MP3 download offer. But then it occoured to me that I had bought a domain name with GoDaddy, so I could set up a Blogger blog and then use that as my 'authority site'. Here's how:

1. Buy a domain name using GoDaddy (they are about 10 bucks a year)
2. Log in to your account at www.godaddy.com.
3. Open the Domains tab and select My Domain Names. You'll be directed to the Domain Manager page.
4. Click the domain that you'd like to use with your blog.
5. Click the Total DNS Control And MX Records link at the bottom of the section entitled Total DNS.
6. Click Add New CNAME Record in the box labelled CNAMES (aliases). If you've already created a CNAME record for your blog's address, click the pencil icon next to the existing CNAME record.
7. For the Name, enter only the subdomain of the address you want to use for your blog. For example, if you picked www.mydomain.com as your address, enter www here.
8. Enter ghs.google.com as the Host Name. Specify a TTL or use the default setting of 1 hour.
9. Click OK, and then click OK again.

I've just done this with  Lykke Li MP3 so I'll let you know what happens
